There is something very attractive to me in finding, following and even buying things almost no one knows about. I am no crowd-person, at all. I guess there are two main reasons for that: first, I like to be me and I don’t need to copy anyone, second, I have the feeling that everything and everyone who gets popular looses something good and genuine along the way.
Though I also follow a few famous Instagram accounts – because somehow they manage to keep interesting and fresh – I though that it might be funny to let you know about some you might not easily find.
I’ve been following this people for months, and years. I am a fan. While collecting the images for this post, I asked myself how I was going to put them together and introduce them. I wondered: what do all these accounts have in common, other than just posting beautiful pictures? Well, I guess the answer is that I really like what they tell me about life, I find them inspiring.
You may have easily guessed it, when I am on Instragram I don’t care much about selfies and seeing how pretty you are. I don’t care much about how you eat, and I don’t even want to mind your own business more than necessary – I don’t know anything about most of the people I follow, but somehow their pictures play the right strings of me. So if you decide that you also want to be a fan… please don’t make them trendy, don’t spoil them, don’t ruin (some of) my favourite accounts!
@Shaula_la_la has the ability to find poetry anywhere, put together words and colours in such a simple and unexpected way. If you get addicted, you can always get more on her blog.
I’ve been following @Shurashurochka around Sweden (and not only) almost since the beginning. I share his love for graffiti and abandoned place, urban details, faded nature.
@nadejda_t used to have an amazing design blog with no words in it. Just crazy beautiful and unexpected stuff. One day it closed. And one other day she just left her instagram account on it. I am glad I still get to follow her – and yes, I miss her blog.
I could write ten posts only about beautiful creative accounts. Though, I chose @velanch not for her beautiful jewels but for the stop-motion videos she takes of them. I love to see her creations move in an imaginary world.
@mielaerkerasmussen is a mother, like me. I get so fascinated but her way of presenting life with kids. Every single moment is so precious, every detail means so much.
@liteshadez is the typical example of someone who needs no words or explanation. Just wild wide pictures of New Zeland, following him is such a relaxing break.
@imaginarygretel is also a very creative person, though there’s nothing of her woodworks or drawings in her account. Linda seems to live in a parallel world full of fairies and spirits.
@florian_muehl is good at colours, and not only. What I love most are his portraits because they’re not prepared but just moments of real life. I wish he would post his works more often.
A step back to my hometown, where @razzautifatevobis takes the most strange pictures. You may expect me to long for boring sad panoramas of the city I left – well, no thanks. He catches the right feeling. I love the natural rubgy portraits of my fellow citizens, the stretched pictures in Modigliani’s style, and the blurred perspectives of Livorno.
There is one more account who wasn’t in the preview, but that I really need to mention: @atelier10team, to whom I belong as Italian designer, has introduced since a couple of weeks the pictures ‘at work’. The behind-the-scenes makes the account totally worth following.
This is all for today, I hope I managed to make you discover something inspiring. Do you have any non-famous account to recommend me?
Thank you so much for the feature! It was interesting to read about your favorites, all are so different but beautiful! No wonder, you like to follow them!!! It’s a honor to be among them!
Thanks to you, it is a little irrestible pleasure to receive wonderful images every day!
